BorgWarner Announces S.C. Facility Expansion; WBD Team Advises on Economic Development Issues

Congratulations to Womble Bond Dickinson client BorgWarner, Inc.! The global leader in mobility solutions recently announced plans to expand its Seneca, S.C. facility. The company’s $42.7 million expansion will create approximately 122 new jobs.

A Womble Bond Dickinson team led by Stephanie Yarbrough counseled BorgWarner on economic development issues and incentives related to the expansion. Whit McGreevy and Allison Mayer also worked on this deal. 

In a statement, BorgWarner’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Frederic Lissalde, said, “BorgWarner is pleased to continue to invest in South Carolina and Oconee County, creating more jobs in the community while expanding our manufacturing and production footprint to support exciting new technologies. We appreciate the collaboration of the state and county in this exciting venture.”
