Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Joe Whitley spoke to the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Compliance and Ethics Network on March 15^th during their monthly membership meeting.  Whitley's topic, “Immigration Compliance in the Real World” highlighted the importance of assigning spend resources to immigration compliance. He suggested companies should be able to answer certain questions to enable corporate counsel to provide solid guidance to company decision-makers. Questions Whitley addressed included:

• What are the penalties and statutes of limitations?

• How do I assess and mitigate risk?
