On December 1st, Ed Schnitzer served as a co-moderator for a workshop at the ABI’s annual Winter Leadership Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona. Ed’s workshop titled “Making the Mediation: What to Consider When Selecting the Neutral” included panelists Derek Abbott (from Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP), Andrew Caine (from Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones), and Kara Casteel (from ASK, LLP) LLP. The panel covered topics such as what to look for in a mediator, whether location of the mediator affects selection, live vs. remote mediation, the cost and travel factors in the selection of a mediator, and case mediation procedure orders.
