Congratulations to Epic Star Energy, a subsidiary of long-time firm client Fortistar! Last week, Epic Star acquired renewable energy portfolio from Pacific Current.

A Womble Bond Dickinson team led by Kristen Thall Peters and Maan Sangid guided Epic Star in this transaction. 

The acquired portfolio consists of a utility scale solar project on Kauai, Hawaii, and several other operating renewable energy projects. The acquisition closed on August 4, 2025. Epic Star will manage the portfolio under long-term contracts going forward, providing seamless, renewable power for many more decades of service to Hawaii.
