Lewis Roca Lawyer Named Fellow of Litigation Counsel of America

LAS VEGAS (September 27, 2022) – Lewis Roca is honored to announce litigation lawyer Ogonna M. Brown has been selected as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. A prestigious, invitation-only honorary organization in which Fellows are recognized for their litigation and trial work and provide guidance and leadership on issues and legislation affecting the American judicial litigation process.

With the addition of Brown, the firm has six lawyers who have been named as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.

A partner and member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, Brown practices in the areas of complex business litigation and bankruptcy, focusing on creditors’ rights. She is passionate about mentoring up-and-coming lawyers and taking pro bono cases, staying highly active with the William S. Boyd School of Law’s mentoring programs and with Legal Aid of Southern Nevada. She is also active in the community, donating to Shade Tree, Goodwill of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada. Brown is a former office holder and current board member of the Southern Nevada Association of Bankruptcy Attorneys and serves on the executive committee with the Howard D. McKibben American Inn of Court. In 2020, she was appointed by Nevada Governor Sisolak to serve as a member of the Nevada Gaming Commission for a four-year term.

Brown is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and was the recipient of the Clark County Law Foundation Liberty Bell award in 2020. She has been recognized as one of The Best Lawyers in America for the past two years in the areas of bankruptcy and creditor debtor rights/insolvency and reorganization law. Additionally, Brown has been named a Top Lawyer in bankruptcy by Vegas Inc. since 2021 and as a Mountain States Super Lawyer in bankruptcy: business for more than 10 years.

Prior to joining the firm, Brown was a Lawyer Representative to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Johnnie B. Rawlinson, United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. She received her J.D. from UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law, and her B.A. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
